Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers issued an executive order on Thursday declaring a public health emergency and an emergency order requiring face coverings, hours after the state Legislature invalidated two similar orders.
The executive order is effective for 60 days and the mask mandate is valid until March 20. The mask order includes exemptions for people with certain medical conditions and developmental disabilities, incarcerated individuals, and children between the ages of 2 and 5. Violators can be fined $200.
