Oregon Delays Release of Worker Coronavirus Protection Rule

Oregon is delaying the release of its emergency rule aimed at protecting workers from on-the-job coronavirus infections until Oct. 21, with an effective date of Nov. 1.

Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration spokesman Aaron Corvin said the rule’s release was delayed about three weeks to complete the standard’s appendixes. Safety rule appendixes typically detail how employers must comply with rule requirements and provide other information, such as sample forms and model protection plans.
