Missouri Attorney General Sues St. Louis Over Mask Mandate

Missouri’s attorney general sued the city and county of St. Louis to prevent them from reinstating mask mandates they ordered amid a surge in Covid 19 infections fueled by the Delta variant.

Eric Schmitt described the new mask requirements as “arbitrary, capricious, unlawful and unconstitutional” in a lawsuit filed Monday in St. Louis County Circuit Court. A copy of the complaint was made available on the attorney general’s website, but couldn’t be immediately confirmed in court dockets.
