Media Companies Win Another Round in Fight for PPP Loan Data (1)

A federal court has ordered the disclosure of tax identification numbers and loan-status information for businesses receiving federal loans during the pandemic, in compliance with inquiries from several news organizations.

More: The ruling Thursday by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia marks a second win for the companies in their quest to obtain federal Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan data. The same court in November ordered the U.S. Small Business Administration to release names, addresses, and loan amounts.
