A Pennsylvania trial judge improperly ordered a hospital to provide ivermectin treatment for a elderly patient dying of Covid-19, an appeals court in the state said.
Judges aren’t doctors, and there is no legal authority for orders compelling health-care providers to administer treatments that are contrary to their professional judgment and outside the standard of care, the Pennsylvania Superior Court said.
