Covid-19 Vaccine OK During Pregnancy With Doctor Consultation

Pregnant and lactating people can get the Covid-19 vaccine, according to new federal and medical guidelines answering a lingering question as the Pfizer Inc. shot rolls out in the U.S. this week.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommended vaccines shouldn’t be withheld due to pregnancy and should be offered to anyone lactating once their place in line comes up. The recommendations follow the Dec. 11 emergency authorization on Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine by the Food and Drug Administration and a subsequent recommendation from a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory panel that a Covid vaccination decision be left pregnant ...
