The University of Michigan and a class of what could be thousands of male student athletes will go to mediation over the athletes’ claims that they were sexually assaulted by Dr. Robert Anderson over the 35-year period he worked at the school.
The school and the athletes have agreed to go to mediation in September, they said at a hearing held Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
The lead plaintiff in the case, identified as John Doe, is a former Wolverines football player who attended Michigan from 1989 until 1993.
