Supreme Court to Bite Into Dental Arbitration Dispute

An arbitration case between dental equipment distributors is heading to the high court after the justices agreed to hear it today.

A lower court held the dispute about distributorship rights couldn’t be arbitrated.

The claim of arbitrability, or whether certain disputes can be resolved through arbitration, was “wholly groundless” because it sought injunctive relief, which is an exception to the requirement to arbitrate, the court said.
