Steaz ‘Lightly Sweetened’ Tea Loaded With Sugar, Lawsuit Says

Healthy Beverage Co. deceptively markets Steaz Organic “Lightly Sweetened” Iced Green Tea as relatively low in sugar when the drink contains an excessive amount of added sugar, a new class suit in Pennsylvania federal court alleges.

“Lightly sweetened” in its ordinary and common usage, and in the context of Steaz tea, means the product only has a small amount of added sweetener, Lamartine Pierre and others allege.

But one 16-ounce can of Steaz tea, considered one serving, contains 20 grams of added sugar, they say.
