Sig Sauer Settles Class Defect Claims Over Police Pistols (1)

Sig Sauer Inc. got final approval in a Missouri federal court to settle class claims by gun owners, including police officers, who alleged a popular automatic revolver can unintentionally discharge when dropped.

The uncapped settlement offers owners of P320 pistols free repairs related to the alleged trigger defect, reimbursement of past expenditures to get the handguns fixed, and full refunds to people who were told their pistols couldn’t be repaired, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri said late last week.
