Riddell Beats NFL Players’ Concussion Claims as Untimely

Riddell Inc. and parent company BRG Sports Inc. won dismissal of claims by 54 former professional football players alleging they suffer from neurological disorders from concussions sustained during their careers.

The claims are barred by the two-year time limit for personal injury claims in Illinois, the Illinois Court of Appeals said.

The court rejected the players’ argument that they were diagnosed with neurological disorders less than two years before filing suit, making the claims timely.
