Niagara University Faces Sex Bias Claims From Female Athletes

Current and former students who participated on Niagara University’s women’s swim and diving teams allege the school discriminated against them on the basis of sex.

The plaintiffs claim they were subjected to sexual harassment and bullying by members of the men’s swim team. Each alleges psychological and emotional trauma caused by the continual harassment, and that they received counseling for depression, according to the Sept. 20 complaint. It was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
