NFL Player’s Agent Cleared of Poaching Detroit Lions’ Receiver

The agent for Detroit Lions’ player Kenny Golladay brushed off a $2.1 million suit by his former agent for allegedly poaching the wide receiver, after the Middle District of Pennsylvania found an arbitrator didn’t commit misconduct by failing to compel Golladay’s attendance at the hearing.

Because an arbitrator has no enforcement authority, the onus was on Golladay’s former agent, Jason Bernstein, to file a motion in federal district court to compel Golladay to appear, the court said.

But Bernstein never sought judicial enforcement of the subpoena, the court said.
