FanDuel Beats Claims That Inaccurate Game Clock Hurt App Bettors

A proposed class action accusing FanDuel of misleading sports bettors about the time remaining in games will be dismissed, after a federal judge in Illinois found Thursday that the betting app’s terms and conditions expressly shield the company.

FanDuel purports to provide its customers with live game data, but it “regularly understates the time remaining in a given live sporting event in order to induce its customers to make wagers that they are more likely to lose,” plaintiff Andrew Melnick alleged.
