DoorDash Sued for Steering Patrons From Non-Partner Restaurants

DoorDash Inc. was hit with a proposed class action accusing the delivery service of deceptively steering customers away from restaurants who don’t partner with the delivery app by listing such venues as “closed” or “unavailable.”

The suit, filed Thursday by Missouri-based Lona’s Lil Eats LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accuses DoorDash of routinely publishing false and misleading information about restaurants that choose not to use the delivery service and pay its fees.
