Blue Cross Minnesota Clawback Suit Covers 221 People, Court Told

A family accusing Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota of wrongfully clawing back patients’ approved benefit payments asked a federal judge to certify the case as a class action covering 221 people.

The class certification motion, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, comes seven months after Judge Michael J. Davis declined to dismiss the case based on the insurer’s procedural objections.
