Apple Wants Watch Battery Flaw, Screen Crack Suit Tossed

Apple Inc. asked a federal court to toss a proposed class suit alleging Apple watches have a flaw that makes the lithium-ion battery swell, causing the screen to break or detach from the watch body.

Plaintiff Gina Priano-Keyser failed to state viable claims under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and for breaches of express and implied warranties, Apple said in a May 17 filing to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
