Apple Faces Florida Class Suit for Allegedly ‘Breaking’ FaceTime

Apple Inc. intentionally broke its popular FaceTime feature for older iPhones, but deceptively described the issue as a software bug, a new suit filed in the Southern District of Florida alleges.

The proposed class suit was filed Aug. 28 on behalf of Florida consumers. A federal court in California approved a statewide class there on the same subject and recently allowed claims to proceed toward trial.

The new suit cites the Aug. 21 denial of Apple’s request for summary judgment in Grace v. Apple, Inc.
