Valterra Edges Up on Platinum Miner’s Debut Outside Anglo (3)

Valterra Platinum Ltd. edged higher on its first day outside Anglo American Plc, after adding a secondary listing in London to broaden its appeal to investors.

Anglo spun off the Johannesburg-based producer of platinum-group metals as part of a streamlining announced a year ago, while fending off a $49 billion approach from BHP Group. The mining giant reduced its interest in Valterra at the start of the month from about 67% to just under 20% by distributing the bulk of the stake to its own shareholders.
