Bond Sales to Smash 1 Trillion Euros Amid Lingering Covid Grip

New bond sales in Europe are about to break past 1 trillion euros ($1.19 trillion) this year as issuers swarm the market at breakneck speed for the second year running.

The volume of syndicated bond sales in Europe stands at 997 billion euros, or 9.7% behind 2020’s record tempo. In 2019, a year unprecedented for pre-Covid times, the 1-trillion-euro mark was only reached in September.
