West Texas Judge Revises Patent Procedures for Sealed Orders (1)

A West Texas federal judge has updated a standing order regarding the sealing of documents in patent cases, in a move that is unlikely to quiet concerns about transparency in his court.

Judge Alan Albright of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas issued the standing order in February making it easier for parties in patent cases to file documents under seal, but requiring redacted versions be publicly filed within seven days.
