US Soccer Women Seek Court Approval of $24 Million Pay Bias Pact

The US women’s soccer team asked a federal judge in Los Angeles to grant preliminary approval of the team’s $24 million pay discrimination settlement with the sport’s governing body, court records show.

Their pact with the US Soccer Federation Inc. meets all of the criteria needed for approval of a class action settlement under Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Equal Pay Act, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, and their teammates told the US District Court for the Central District of California.
