U.K.’s Competition Watchdog Clears Deal Between Visa and Plaid

The U.K.’s Competition and Markets Authority’s decision follows a Phase 1 review that found Visa would continue to face competition from PIS-enabled payments, and other types of services in the U.K., after the merger, according to a statement.

  • Also found that the combined Visa-Plaid business would not be able to push other providers out of the market
