Tennessee Titans Settle Suit Alleging Firing Over Covid Leave

The Tennessee Titans NFL team has reached a settlement with a former team assistant who alleges he was fired for taking leave when he became sick with the coronavirus.

The notice of settlement filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee June 24 doesn’t include the terms of the agreement, and counsel didn’t immediately respond to request for comment.

Plaintiff Paul Miller alleges he was fired nine days after taking leave under the now-expired Families First Coronavirus Response Act, according to the complaint filed May 12, 2021.
