Suit Over Seamless Contacts’ Use of Personal Info Clears Hurdle

Seamless Contacts Inc. must face a class action alleging it used peoples’ names and likenesses without their consent in violation of the Illinois Right of Publicity Act.

Kate Hoffower alleged that Seamless created a profile of her that included her name, contact information, and other personal information without her consent, then used the profile to bring in subscribers.
