Snapchat Users’ Team Suspension for ‘Collective Bullying’ OK

A Massachusetts high school didn’t violate the free speech rights of two hockey players suspended from the team for their “minimal” participation in a Snapchat group that made fun of a fellow player and his family, a federal court said.

Hopkinton High School officials reasonably found the Snapchat group members—all of whom were fellow hockey players—invaded the rights of the targeted student, identified only as Robert Roe, through their “collective bullying,” the District of Massachusetts said.
