Washington attorney Leicester Bryce Stovell was disbarred from Supreme Court practice after being disciplined in D.C., Illinois, and Ohio for intentionally misappropriating $1,000 in client funds.
In 2010, Stovell sued NBA star LeBron James and his mother, claiming to be the all-star’s father. He alleged James and his mother, Gloria James, falsified a 2007 paternity test that said Stovell wasn’t the father.
A federal trial court judge tossed the case in 2011.
Stovell sued James again in 2013 following a 2012 Sports Illustrated interview in which James lamented that his father was not around when he was a child.
