Professional Caddies Sue PGA For Billboard Services

A class of professional caddies for pro golfers filed a class complaint on Feb. 3 in California federal court challenging the PGA Tour Inc.'s practice of using caddies as human billboards without sharing any of the advertising revenue (Hicks v. PGA Tour, Inc., N.D. Cal., 3:15-cv-00489, 2/3/15).

The complaint avers that the PGA compels caddies to wear advertising bibs over their shirts during professional golf tournaments and then retains for itself the tens of millions of dollars in advertising revenue generated by those bibs annually.
