Peloton Pulls Songs After Labels Sue for Copyright Infringement

Peloton Interactive Inc. will pull video fitness classes featuring songs that were named in a $150 million copyright lawsuit filed by more than a dozen music labels, the company’s CEO said.

The March 25 letter to Peloton subscribers from founder and CEO John Foley said the company decided to remove the classes “out of an abundance of caution.” He called the lawsuit filed March 19 “unfortunate” and said it came “after what appeared to be fruitful discussions with most of the publishers named.”
