NBA Video Game Maker Wins Case Over LeBron’s Tattoos (2)

The maker of the NBA 2K video game series beat claims that the use of tattoos on digital representations of players, including LeBron James, infringed copyrights, after a Manhattan federal court said the players’ image licenses covered the tattoos.

Among other things, the players had the right to license the tattoos as part of their likenesses, and gave the NBA the right to license those likenesses to Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., the Southern District of New York said.
