Mylan NV, the drug company that has come under increasing scrutiny in Washington over the high prices it charges for the EpiPen allergy shot, has hired a former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission member as its top lawyer.
Daniel Gallagher, a Republican, will join the company on April 17, Mylan said in a statement Tuesday. After leaving the SEC in late 2015, Gallagher became president of Patomak Global Partners, a financial services consulting firm.
