The MLB is slated to receive $6 million from a contract dispute with broadcast company Telemicro over the rights to broadcast professional baseball in the Dominican Republic after a Manhattan federal court rejected a challenge to the arbitration process.
Major League Baseball alleges Corporación de Televisión y Microonda Rafa, S.A., known as Telemicro, on several occasions failed to make payments for its broadcast rights for the 2016-2018 seasons. MLB terminated the contract in 2017 as a result.
