Major League Baseball and its affiliate clubs couldn’t convince the full Ninth Circuit to rehear arguments on a class action alleging that minor league baseball players didn’t receive minimum wage or overtime pay.
A divided three-judge panel ruled in August that the minor league baseball players’ wage and hour claims could proceed. It also revived class-action status for the cases in Arizona and Florida—where baseball spring training takes place—and confirmed the case will move forward in California.
