Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of Virginia has decided to leave Morrison & Foerster after the firm completed an internal investigation that found no evidence he committed any wrongdoing during his time there, a spokesman from the law firm has said.
Fairfax went on voluntary leave from Morrison & Foerster earlier this year following reports that he sexually assaulted two women in the early 2000s. Fairfax denied the allegations at the time, and the firm hired outside counsel to conduct an investigation into his behavior while at the firm, which he joined in September 2018.
