Washington, D.C. lawyer Trey Hanbury will join Jenner & Block as co-chair of the firm’s communications, internet, and technology practice.
Hanbury, who was a partner for the past nine years at Hogan Lovells, brings more than two decades of legal experience, specializing in technology policy, the firm said in a Wednesday announcement. He has held positions at both
At Sprint, Hanbury served as the director of government affairs, acting as regulatory counsel before the FCC and the Justice and Homeland Security Departments, as well as Congress and federal courts. Hanbury held a range of policymaking positions at the FCC, including as special counsel.
“I’m humbled to help lead Jenner’s top-rated CIT group,” Hanbury said in a statement. “I look forward to strengthening our existing client relationships and building new ones by delivering innovative solutions in this rapidly changing sector.”
