Exelon Must Face Face Sex Bias Claim by Stalked Worker With PTSD

A nuclear equipment operator’s loss of her security clearance doesn’t necessarily bar her sex discrimination claim against Exelon Generation LLC over its handling of a co-worker’s alleged stalking, the Northern District of Illinois ruled.

The energy giant argued the court couldn’t entertain Mallory Wrenn’s claim of unequal treatment under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Doing so would require a review of the decision to revoke her security clearance after she took leave for mental-health issues and exhibited continued symptoms after returning to her job, it said.
