This year’s second quarter saw a dip in investment in the legal tech sector, with $122 million in disclosed funding to Q1’s $400 million.
The drop is less notable when you consider that half of last quarter’s $400 million figure was due to one transaction: business enterprise software company Onit’s $200 million investment from K1 Investment Management. Still, the numbers could scuttle last quarter’s predictions that the legal tech sector would be on a pace to top $1 billion in funding in 2019.
