PG&E Probation Judge Approves San Bruno Fire Mitigation Plan

U.S. District Judge William Alsup will allow PG&E Corp. to contribute $3 million to a fire mitigation project in San Bruno in lieu of the remaining community service hours utility officials were ordered to perform as part of its probation following a 2016 conviction for gas pipeline safety violations.

  • Project will help clear vegetation that poses a fire risk, and open up access roads in Crestmoor Canyon in San Bruno, a city 12 miles south of San Francisco.
