Neiman Marcus Bankruptcy Judge Seeks Marble Ridge Investigation

The judge overseeing the reorganization of Neiman Marcus Group Inc. is asking a bankruptcy court watchdog to investigate the actions of a portfolio manager at distressed debt firm Marble Ridge Capital while he served on an official committee of unsecured creditors.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge David R. Jones asked the U.S. Trustee to investigate whether the investor, Dan Kamensky, tried to block a competing offer to buy shares of the retailer’s valuable MyTheresa unit from Marble Ridge’s fellow creditors.
