The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. hasn’t done enough to prevent and punish sexual harassment in its ranks, a government watchdog says.
The banking regulator’s policies don’t properly define or prevent sexual harassment and its procedures are inadequate to properly track and address claims, the office of inspector general said in a report released Monday.
Without significant improvements, “the FDIC cannot ensure that it has taken all of the steps necessary to prevent sexual harassment; facilitate reporting; and promptly and effectively address sexual harassment allegations,” the report said.
