SocGen Starting Search for Successor to CEO Frederic Oudea (1)

Societe Generale SA is beginning the formal search for a successor to Chief Executive Officer Frederic Oudea, one of Europe’s longest-standing bank executives, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The supervisory board is seeking to identify a replacement once Oudea’s term ends in about three years, though a candidate could be appointed before then, the people said, asking not to be identified as the plans are private. The lender is looking internally beyond the three deputy CEOs and will consider external candidates, the people said.
