HUD Moves to Reinstate Fair Housing Rules Repealed by Trump

The Biden administration is moving quickly to reinstate measures aimed at combating housing discrimination that were subject to a Trump-era rollback.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development submitted Monday a pair of regulations for White House review that would strengthen the agency’s ability to get communities to boost fair housing efforts and police against unintentional housing discrimination. The moves come a month after the Senate confirmed Marcia Fudge to serve as HUD secretary.
