HUD Asking for FHA Mortgage Forbearance for Americans: Carson

The Housing and Urban Development Dept is asking for a “moratorium” on foreclosures for mortgages insured through FHA for 60 days, Secretary Ben Carson says in briefing.

  • Carson says they are asking for forbearances on people who have taken out loans and are reaching out to public housing authorities across the U.S.
  • Carson says he is hoping PHAs cooperate and ensure there are no evictions as a result of the coronavirus outbreak
