Former Commissioner Jackson Says Trump Mostly Leaves SEC Alone

President Donald Trump and his White House staff generally haven’t involved themselves in the SEC’s affairs, former agency Commissioner Robert Jackson said.

Jackson said Friday he was extremely fortunate the White House “largely” left the Securities and Exchange Commission alone as it did its enforcement work. The Democratic-leaning independent served at the agency from January 2018 until earlier in February, when he left to resume teaching at New York University.
