Danish PM Ready to Revamp Bank Watchdog After Danske Scandal

Denmark’s financial regulator may be facing a number of changes after failing to prevent the country’s biggest bank from being dragged into one of Europe’s worst ever money laundering scandals.

Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said Nov. 13 he’s ready to act on recommendations to revamp the agency. But he stopped short of backing a proposal by the opposition to have the watchdog focus only on crime and leave more standard oversight to the central bank.
