Comcast Loses Bid to Redo Advertising Monopoly Case in 7th Cir.

Comcast Corp. failed to convince the full Seventh Circuit to reconsider a divided ruling reviving claims that it uses a regional advertising clearinghouse to monopolize “representation services” for coordinating TV ad placements in Chicago, Detroit, and Hartford, Conn.

The appeals court denied Comcast’s rehearing petition in a one-page order Tuesday that didn’t offer any reasoning. The original panel—including the judge who partly dissented—opposed rehearing, the order says. No other member of the court requested a vote.
